The “holey” land- classic tour

The Lowland of Israel

On This day we’ll explore the remains of old cities and their facilities underground. This land is well known with its holes- we will explore different kinds of caves in all size and shape, coming along with special stories and history. Starting with the National stalactites cave of Sorek and on to Beit guvrin cave reserve.

Then, following our ancestor we’ll crawl on our knees to some ancient tunnels underground (Flashlight is needed, it’s a lot of fun, but if you are claustrophobic you can wait for us outside for 30 minutes). Later on, stopping at the biblical site of Tel Azeka a view over the battle field of David and goliath and from there we’ll continue to Mini-Israel– beautiful miniature of the land of Israel.

Essential: water, hat, sunscreen, cameras, long pants (for the crawling)
