• First day: Jerusalem in the footsteps of Jesus tour

We will start our morning with a beautiful view over the old city from Mount of Olives and then we’ll walk down from Mount of Olives and we’ll first visit the Franciscan church- Dominus Flavit (the tears of the lord).

At the bottom of Mount of Olives we will find the church of all nations (church of agony- also known as Gethsemane, the place where Jesus was captured in his last night). We will continue from there to see the orthodox church of the tomb of St. Mary.

After looking at the cemetery of the valley of Jehoshaphat we will visit the city of David –The journey quickly heads underground to some of the newest archaeological excavations at the site. The underground tour finally ends at the Gihon Spring, there we’ll take out flashlights and wade through the spring in King Hezekiah’s 2,700 year old water tunnel, one of the wonders of early engineering.

Wailing wall (Tour at the Wailing Wall tunnels requires booking 2 months in advance).

Lunch will be at Abushukri Humus.

From here we will walk along the Via Dolorosa with its 14 stations of the cross. We will visit the Pool of Bethesda where the church of Saint Ana the mother of Mary is situated.

We will end the tour in the Christian quarter at the church of the Holy Sepulcher- the most holy church in the world!! The tomb of Christ and the Calvary.

We will cross the Jewish seeing the Herodian mansion, the Cardo exit through Zion gate.

At this point we will visit the last supper room on mount Zion and the church of Dormition , the place where the Virgin Mary, Mother of Christ, is said to have fallen asleep for the last time.

Overnight: Jerusalem

• Second day: Massada and the Dead Sea – classic tour

As soon as we get to Massada, we will take the cable car to the top of the mountain that was declared in 2002 as world heritage site by UNESCO. On this tour we will be amazed by ancient engineering techniques, the wilderness and the human story that took place here 2000 years ago.
The second part of the day we will spend at the Dead Sea beach; mud, sulfur pools and of course the unique sensation of floating in the Dead Sea (bring a newspaper)

Overnight: Jerusalem

• Third day: Tiberius and Capernaum

Depart Tel Aviv via the Coastal Road and the landscape of the lower Galilee to Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his childhood. Visit the Church of Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph. Continue, via Kana, to Tiberias, the lovely resort town.
Drive along the Kinneret Lake to visit Capernaum and view the ruins of the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught; Continue to Tabgha, the site of the Miracle of Fish and Loaves, located at the foot of the Golan Heights. Proceed to Yardenit, the famous Baptismal site.

Overnight: North

• Forth day: tour in the Galilee

Depart the hotel up north and drive to the grottos of Rosh Hanikra, we’ll take the cable car down to the grottos and we will also “touch” the border with Lebanon.

We’ll then continue to akko and visit the knights halls, the Templar tunnel and the ancient port.

Short stop at Haifa for a beautiful view over the Baha’i gardens and a short walk along the German colony

And on the way back to Tel Aviv we will be stopping at the old city of Caesarea a Roman city with Roman structures such as amphitheater, hippodrome, hot bath and more. Caesarea is also the place where the only archaeological item that mentioned Pontius Pilatus.
